Cardiff School of Art and Design offers a Master of Research in Art and Design programme (MRes). The programme can be taken as preparation for doctoral level research in art (PhD or Professional Doctorate) or as the opportunity to acquire advanced creative research skills for enhancing an art practice career. It will enable you to locate your practice within a research community, and guide you in developing your interest to the point where it forms the basis of a PhD application or a research publication. Applications to conduct research related to projects on this site are especially welcome. The programme can be studied on a full-time (one year) or a part-time (two year) basis, either on campus or remotely.
